BREAKFAST: Casual sit-down, New York diner style brunch and lunch spot ~3 minutes walk from the Hampton Inn. Midwesterners looking for a skillet will find them here!
BREAKFAST: Casual sit down brunch and lunch (and dinner too!) spot. Two locations - this one is less than 10 minutes walking from the Hampton Inn
BREAKFAST: Casual sit down brunch and lunch (and dinner too!) spot. Two locations - this one is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the Four Points by Sheraton
BREAKFAST / COFFEE: Very casual counter service breakfast great for coffee or egg sandwiches at the edge of Huntington Village. Grateful Dead influenced if you couldn't tell by the photo!
BREAKFAST / COFFEE: Favorite bakery, coffee, and breakfast stop by the water in quaint Northport Village
DRINKS: Brewery in Huntington with tented outdoor seating. Generally there are food trucks and lots of dogs on premises! Good choice to help pass the gap between the ceremony and reception. Fun fact - this is where Luke asked Joe and Marianne (Amanda's parents) for permission to propose!
DRINKS: Casual and intimate (as you might guess from the name) bar close to the Hampton Inn with craft cocktails, small plates, and a good happy hour
DRINKS / FOOD: Upscale Irish pub with great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Lovely patio if the weather is nice! This would be a great place to grab a drink before the reception as there will be a 1.5 hour break
DRINKS: Great cozy brewery in Northport Village with many fun craft beers and beer flights. Dog friendly and always crowded!
DRINKS / FOOD: Casual but upscale pub - great for lunch, good beer and drink selections
DINNER: More upscale but not fancy dinner option with amazing Italian food (pastas, wood fired pizzas, etc.). If you go, you must try the Chicken Valdostano!
DINNER: New more casual Italian cozy restaurant - BYOB!
DINNER: Fun Mexican restaurant good for margaritas, guacamole, and tacos
DINNER: Upscale Mexican restaurant in heart of Huntington Village
Trail walk / light hike less than 10 minutes from both hotels. We love to do this walk and then continue into Cold Spring Harbor Village for a coffee at Sweetie Pie's on Main Street.
THINGS TO DO: Amanda's favorite place to go for a walk or run. There are plenty of trails as well as a three mile paved running and biking loop.
THINGS TO DO: Northport is a historic waterfront / maritime town 10 minutes east of Huntington Village. This is Amanda and Luke's favorite spot and where they did their engagement photos! In Northport, our favorite places are Copenhagen Bakery for breakfast and coffee, Sand City Brewery for dog-friendly beers, and The Wine Cellar on Main for drinks, food, and live music. While Northport is a drive we'd highly recommend for those with cars or who are willing to uber!
THINGS TO DO: This is where we took our engagement photos! Great for sunset or grab a coffee in town (we recommend Copenhagen Bakery) and sit by the water.
THINGS TO DO: Bethpage State Park is a short drive from the Four Points by Sheraton in Melville and has many golf courses as well as running, walking, and bike trails. The most famous course is the Bethpage Black (though it can be difficult to get a tee time; other courses are easier!) Other local public courses can be found at Crab Meadow and Sunken Meadow State Park both on the Long Island Sound.
