We eloped! Please join us for a party in Upstate NY as we celebrate tying the knot.

We first met as philosophy majors in college and while John tried to woo Bethany with Ithaca Flower Power and Trailer Park Boys, it didn't take at the time. Fast forward to May 2020, and the boredom of quarantine got us talking again. We did a year and a half of long distance (and a lot of virtual movie nights) before John moved to Manlius, NY in December 2021. We knew we wanted to get married within the year and started planning, but John insisted on a traditional proposal. He successfully surprised Bethany during an overnight in Skaneateles using cunning and an accomplice, and she agreed to be given a diamond ring. After a few more months of preparation, we got married on December 10th in the Marriott Syracuse Downtown (formerly the Hotel Syracuse) with two close friends as witnesses. Despite an untraditional ceremony, we opted for a traditional honeymoon on the beaches of Punta Cana. With the official part behind us, we're looking forward to partying with all of you this summer in Caz!
