This is our favorite place for a sweet treat. Don't be afraid of the line- it really is that good! Clay's pick is the raspberry chip in a dipped waffle cone (say yes to the malted milk ball). Lucia's favorite is, of course, a vanilla cone.
Our favorite spot for any occasion. We love sitting on the patio (yes even during Chicago winters!). Great drinks and small plates! Go with a friend and share the steak skewers. Clay swears he could live off of those alone!
We are here too often. In fact, we're members of their wine club and take advantage of all the perks. Enjoy a glass of wine with some live music!
The local pub- where everyone knows your name. We tried to have our rehearsal dinner here but there would be too much backlash from the regulars. And if you were wondering the bartender makes a mean glass of chocolate milk to accompany your mashed potatoes (AKA this is Nicco approved).
If you're in the mood for a great IPA order a Goofy Boots. This "juicy IPA" is Lucia and Clay's favorite!
Husbands, your wife could spend hours in here. Just go get a beer. Ladies, every room is different. Lucia has probably purchased your Christmas present here at some point.
The South has Waffle House. We have the State Street Diner. Sadly it's only open until 2 PM but if you need breakfast (or lunch for that matter) you want to go here. It's the hole in the wall that Clay lives for.
Clay proposed on the river walk next to Alter and made reservations at Alter afterward. Turns out you can really work up an appetite getting down on one knee.
We know- football just started. Did you REALLY have to get married this weekend? YES. But Flagship has tons of TVs you can watch football on in the meantime (maybe not on Saturday afternoon though).
So much here. Riverboats, mini golf, kayak and paddle boat rentals, picnic areas. Whatever you want. Lucia even considered having the ceremony under the big pavilion here- check it out!
Lucia and Clay love lunch on the patio at Town House Books. The Ultimate BLT is the pick here. Grab a book for the trip home- you won't have time to read it this weekend though. The dance floor is waiting!
