How We Met

Timing was everything

We met in Prescott, AZ. We both lived there, it was a small town so we had crossed paths many times. In those days (2013) we had exchanged moments of chemistry. Like, for example, Luke would come to the store that Jordi had worked at and hang out longer than he needed to just to talk to her a little longer. We would hang out at the game nights that he would host with friends from time to time and we'd find ourselves locking eyes, the interest was there. Finally, in July of 2014, Luke asked Jordi to coffee and she said yes. We had an amazing time together and it was clear there were sparks then. We wanted to see each other more, but we were on different work schedules and it just didn't seem to be in the cards for us at that time. We were on God's timing. In July of 2019, the stars began to align for us- Luke asked Jordi on a breakfast date. She said yes. We had breakfast at The Black Bear Diner. This date was the real start of our journey together and we were finally ready to explore a relationship. We were so confident in our connection from the very start and knew this was going to be the beginning of something special. We'd spent the following 1.5 years growing together as we supported each other through some of the biggest trials and triumphs that we've ever had. There is no doubt we had come together through divine timing. Then, on Christmas Eve 2020, he asked her to marry him, and once again, she said yes! Now, 3 years after that first date, we'll be saying I do! WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT, I, THE LORD, WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN. ISAIAH 60:22
