How we met

May 2006

We had both attended mutual friends’, battle of the bands concert at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA. Prior to this, we had briefyly heard about one another. It was always, Lucas this or Lizz that, when our friends had talked about us to one other. When we finally met in person at the show, we literally clicked. We had so many things in common from favorite food, drinks and most importantly, music taste! We felt like we had known each other for years. Fourteen years later, and the rest is now a build of some awesome memories.

How he proposed

Jan 17, 2019

It was a typical concert outing at the Glasshouse in downtown Pomona to see our favorite band, Bayside. The last song called “Landing Feet First” came on. As the song began, Lucas walked away for a moment, then I saw a bright light shine in my face. He got down on one knee, in the middle of the crowd and I immediately started crying. The crowd started screaming and cheering as the band told us to head up-stage. We then danced and just held each other tightly. It was an acoustic show which made it all the more intimate.
