Justin and I have both lived in Bedford County our entire lives, attended rival high schools, and even cheered against each other in district championships, yet in all the times our paths could have crossed before, they never did. God's timing is absolutely perfect. Justin was working as the manager at Hibbetts in Shelbyville, in September of 2016, and one day while he was in the break room, he started listing off qualities that he was looking for in his "perfect girl." It just so happened that one of my former teammates was working for him at the time and was scrolling through social media while Justin was telling her all of this. As fate would have it, about the time Justin completed his spill, she scrolled across a picture that I had just posted on social media and exclaimed, "I cannot believe I have never thought of this before!" Every characteristic that Justin had listed described me and what she knew I would be looking for in a relationship. Over the next couple of weeks, Justin did a little research of his own and read all the articles that I had written for the publication I was writing for at the time. My teammate reached out to me, and I agreed that Justin was "super cute" and told her I did not mind if she tried to set us up, thinking that honestly nothing would ever happen (little did i know then). In the next few days, Justin sent me a message on Twitter telling me how much he admired my articles and my ambitions, and the conversation never stopped. On October 22, 2016, Justin and I started dating and began the greatest adventure of our lives. Justin and I have walked through the deepest valleys and the highest mountains together, and through it all, we have only come to love each other more and more. On September 19, 2021, Justin asked me to be his wife with the dreamiest and most perfect engagement I ever could have imagined. I am forever thankful for Hibbett Sports, special teammates, and God's perfect timing.
