First of all, it was FREEZING! And both Dani and Louis were secretly wondering if they should cancel, but they decided to brave the cold because, for Dani, if it was a terrible date she could still write about it for her blog, and for Louis, if it was terrible then this would be his last date for the forseeable future and he would be deleting all his dating apps. As luck would have it, Louis did end up deleting all his dating apps, as did Dani, who wound up realizing that she never wanted to share about Louis on her blog because this felt like a relationship she wanted to save all for herself.

They got engaged mid-pandemic, when Dani began crying tears of joy one morning as she and Louis and their beautiful dog, Tahoe (may his memory be a blessing) ate the overnight french toast bake she had made, while they did the laundry IN their new apartment (who wouldn't cry over having a laundry-capable apartment?) and watching The Kissing Booth 2 (who wouldn't cry over having their partner be so game for watching not only a terrible movie but ALSO watching the sequel?) And Louis realized that was the perfect moment to keep those tears of joy going by asking her to marry him! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Virginia!
