Best Man
I couldn’t decide on a joke, so instead, I’ll just be direct. Sammy – my not-so-little-brother – is kind, thoughtful and fierce. He says he looks up to me, but I can’t help but think I should be looking up to him.
Maid of Honor
My little sister and my best friend. Her joyfulness, her sweet spirit and, of course, her sass have had a tremendous impact on my life. I can’t imagine life – or this day – without her.
Groomsman
If my math is right, which it rarely is, Oliver and I have been friends for 12 years. I admire so many things about him, but I’m especially thankful for his patience. I mean, come on, he’s been my friend for 12 years. That’s no small feat.
Bridesmaid
From being camp counselors to adventuring through Texas, Laura has been there for it all. No one makes me laugh harder. Just make sure she doesn’t find out about Georgia’s thriving bear population, or I might be down a bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Iron sharpens iron. Through thick and thin. They may be cliches, but they’re true of my friendship with Joseph. He’s made me laugh. He’s seen me cry. He’s been the very best friend.
Bridesmaid
It’s not a dance party without Rachel Flatt. She loves deeply and lives vibrantly, inviting people into the fullness of life. She’s had my back since college, and I can’t be more thankful for who she is.
Groomsman
“It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.” Mr. Ralph Waldo Emerson said it right. Micah is a goof with a heart of gold. I apologize in advance for the puns.
Bridesmaid
She was the best college roommate anyone could ask for. Not only does she have a kind and thoughtful spirit, but she was willing to take on the role of “bug-killer.” I’m forever grateful.
Groomsman
25 going on 65, Royce is an old soul, just like me. I love his stubbornness, his intellect and his talent for sniffing out b.s. He’s an incredible man, and I look forward to being his friend well into retirement – which for us, could mean next year.
Bridesmaid
I’ve only known Rachel a few years, but to me, she’s already a lifelong friend. It may be cliche to say, but it’s true. And yes, I have three Rachel’s in my wedding party. Deal with it.
