Given the wide variety of options in the area, we have not reserved a block of rooms at any single hotel. Our "Travel" page lists a few hotels, in different budget ranges, that are within a 5-minute walk from the venue. There are other great options elsewhere in Brooklyn and in Manhattan. The bride and groom will be staying at the Ace Hotel just a couple blocks away: https://acehotel.com/brooklyn/.
We love your kids, but this is an adults-only event. We want everyone to be able to relax and let loose!
No black ties here. We are opting for cocktail or semi-formal attire, but encourage a "festive" look. If you're confused about what that means, check out this guide to festive wedding attire: https://www.brides.com/festive-wedding-guest-attire-6361569. Simply put, we want our guests to feel free to have fun with their style and not worry about adhering to "traditional" wedding looks. The most important thing for us is that you wear something you feel comfortable in (and can move in)!
No, there is no formal transportation. If you are staying at one of hotels nearby, you can walk to the venue. Otherwise, Uber/Lyft is everywhere (and there's always the subway!)
Following the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour with passed appetizers, followed by a sit-down, family style dinner with salads, side dishes, and meat-based entrees. If you would like a vegetarian or vegan entree instead of the family-style entrees, please choose "Vegetarian" or "Vegan" when you RSVP. If you have any other dietary restrictions Deity should be aware of, please email alixandevanforbes@gmail.com before June 25, 2023.
DUH! For those who want to keep the party going, we have reserved space at Someday (https://www.somedaybarnyc.com/), just a couple doors down from the venue, starting at 11:30pm.
