With this being each of their second weddings, John and Lori may not have the most traditional family right now. Here's a guide to the whole family so you know who's who on the big day! John has 2 daughters, Cindy (26) and Jenny (23). His mother Kathy lives with him in Arizona, while his father David and stepmother Sandy live in Oklahoma, with most of John's family. Lori has 3 children, Tina (28), Trisha (24), and Ty (23). Tina is married to Berto, and they have one baby girl, Sophia (15 months in October), and a baby boy on the way! Sophia will be in the wedding as the flower girl with Tina's help. Lori's mother, Lucy, lives here in Arizona. Every member of this blended family loves and cares for one another, and they're excited to officially become a family this October!

Lori had been dreaming about the day John would finally pop the question for months. Maybe even years. If you've ever waited on John for something, you know exactly how she felt. After more than four years of happy, romantic dates, he finally mustered up the courage. Of course, he couldn't do it without his amazingly perfect daughters there to support him (no, this definitely isn't Jenny writing this). He asked his daughters and their partners to come to the proposal to secretly take pictures and surprise Lori when she answered the big question, hopefully with a yes. Around sunset on October 16th, 2022, John and Lori pulled in to the parking lot of one of their favorite scenic places to go: Piestewa Peak Park. Their three invited stalkers - Cindy, Jenny, and Jenny's partner Chase - lurked behind bushes and pillars. They photographed every moment. John started off the night how they usually would, taking pictures of the mountains and of them together. He put his phone away and reminded Lori of their church pastor's recent sermon, which centered around the words, "It is time." He said to her that it is, in fact, time, as he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Lori instantly started crying and said yes! The stalkers popped out of their bushes and congratulated the happy couple, taking pictures from less creepy angles this time. John and Lori celebrated at a Katy Nicole and Jeremy Camp concert, rocking out and in love.
