Hello, everyone! Welcome to our wedding website - we're so glad you're here! We've created this website as a helpful resource for our upcoming wedding in Tampa. Here, you'll find our schedule of events, travel information and some FAQs about the day. We'd love for you to take a look around and learn more about our wedding plans. Finally, thank you for all of your love and support so far. We can't wait to share the adventure of a lifetime with our favorite group of people! Love, Josh and Loren
Starting in 2012, Josh low-key attended many of Loren’s volleyball games throughout her collegiate career before they ever knew each other. Fast forward to 2017 when Josh and Loren “officially” met the truly modern way: he slid into her DM's (direct message) on Instagram. Loren drove up to Nashville the following weekend for their first date!
Loren was invited to stay with one of her best friends, Allison, in Nashville and attend her bridal shower that Sunday. Josh had also previously made plans the same weekend but asked if Loren wanted to join him for dinner and then meet up with a few of his friends at a Wade Bowen concert. Loren accepted and Josh picked her up from Allison’s house for their date. Josh and Loren drove to Flip Burger together for dinner then met up with a small group of Josh’s friends at 3rd and Lindsley for the concert. Within a month, they were officially a couple. Fun Fact: Two of Josh’s groomsmen, Joe and Joey, were guest stars on Josh and Loren’s first date!
They dated exclusively for about a year, Josh in Nashville and Loren in Chattanooga. Just about every weekend, they traveled to see each other and couldn’t stay apart. Loren had been looking to move back to Nashville and the pair finally decided enough was enough. Loren was able to move back in January 2018 and the love birds only lived 15 minutes apart!
In June 2020, Josh and Loren decided to take the leap and purchased their first home together in Nashville. They got a lovely townhome with enough space to inspire Loren to buy her first set of plants (which later led to her crazy plant lady obsession) and to cook all their favorite dishes with each other. Even though the couple was only in the house for a little over a year, they are thankful for all the cherished memories they were able to make with family and friends in their first home.
2021 was a big year. Josh and Loren made the big decision to take a one-way trip to Cigar City. In September, they packed up everything they owned, threw Lucky in the back seat, and got ready for a 700-mile drive with Loren in a Mazda 3 and Josh in a 26-foot U-Haul.
After moving to Tampa, the happy couple developed a shared hobby for rollerblading. Unfortunately, this led to a broken arm for Josh, so they decided to take a break from skating for a bit. A few months later, they decided to go on their first skate together since Josh’s arm had healed, so they were both SUPER pumped. Little did Loren know that Josh had planned to propose this day after they skated all the way down to one of their favorites views on the Tampa Riverwalk! Still wearing his rollerblades, Josh got down on one knee and popped the question! Needless to say, Loren said yes—they celebrated with champagne and a boat ride to their favorite oyster bar! After 6 years together, Josh and Loren can't wait to celebrate with all of you on June 3rd!! The couple would like to give a HUGE shoutout to Ryan and Bethany Foose for helping capture these exciting moments and making their day so special! All photography provided by Hernan Sanchez.
