We met in high school and were part of the same friend group. We hung out nearly every weekend for a year or so and every day after school and became good friends. One day Ryan mentioned that we should go to prom with me.. as friends of course! Friends turned to high school sweethearts and here we are today!

On our dream vacation to Maui, one of the places we had to visit was the summit of Haleakala- a dormant volcano rising over 10,000 feet above sea level. We drove an hour and a half up the volcano in time to watch the sunset. As the sun began to set, Ryan insisted that we have a picture taken of us. What he wasn’t expecting was how quiet it would instantly get when suddenly 100+ people stopped talking to take in the sunset! Nonetheless, he asked a woman sitting next to us to take a picture of us and then he popped the question I’d been waiting to hear!! It truly felt like a dream- especially being up above the clouds!
