How We Met

#FarmersOnlyDoesMakesDreamsCome True#ManOfMyDreams

We met on FarmersOnly.com! We exchanged phone numbers and months later began talking on the phone. We would talk for hours to the point of falling asleep. There were conversations (and snoring) on Facetime. I would listen to Logan snore up a storm, but I didn’t care. We made plans to meet, but ended up cancelling our first date. We met for the first time on June 24, 2014, after my work shift at Legacy Ranch ended at 9pm. I drove to Williams from Clements a 2 1/2 hour drive. As I drove up to Logan's house I saw him walking out to greet me in his white socks. He was much shorter than he had said. I thought “Oh man, what have I gotten myself into?” We watched a weird zombie love story and then Logan surprised me by asking if I would like to take a trip to Fort Bragg. I was beyond excited! In previous conversations with Logan I had mentioned that I hadn't been to Fort Bragg in years. As a child I had taken many family trips there. It was a place that held special memories. As he promised, we made a trip over to Fort Bragg, it was Awesome! Logan made it perfect. On July 3rd he shuttled me off to Lake Almanor to meet his parents and to have some fun water boarding on the lake. On July 4th, the Fireworks flew and Logan asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history…

The Proposal

#OneOfAKindPropsal #HeDidItRight #SheConqueredHeights&SmallSpaces #MostOfAllSheSaidYES

December 19th, 2017 on Logan's Great Grandpa Chet's 107th Birthday, Logan asked me to marry him. After multiple family and friends were let in on his “Big Plan,” he got busy, making the proposal day very special. With his tractor and chisel Logan made a plot of words in two fields. In one field he wrote " I love you", and in the second field he wrote " Will you marry me". After creating his masterpiece, he had his friend Nick Mayes from the local soaring center take him up over the fields to approve his work from a bird's eye view. Upon his approval he then picked me up from work. I thought we were just going to lunch. After passing the restaurant, I caught on. He had previously asked me if I would ever go flying in a glider. Logan was making me face one of my biggest fears! Flying in a motor-less plane. Or as I like to call it a “Really expensive paper airplane!” We took off flying toward the family ranch and the scenes from above were beautiful. When we made it to 4000 feet in the air, I looked down and I could see multiple words written in the fields by Logan's tractor and chisel. " I LOVE YOU" and "WILL YOU MARRY ME", of course I said YES! I couldn’t resist that one of a kind proposal, or Logan. Thank you to everyone that helped make this day special for the both of us. It is sure to be one of the best memories we will have to share forever. We are blessed with the best family and friends. We wouldn't trade you for anything, we love you dearly and look forward to sharing our day with you. - Julia & Logan
