Our Story

First comes school, then comes marriage.

Rewind to 7th grade when Alex and Logan first met. After middle school, they both made their way to Fuquay-Varina High School where they shared several classes, but never found themselves hanging out with the same friend groups. That is until senior year of high school when Alex got Logan's number from a friend. After a National Honor Society meeting, he texted her asking to go out on a coffee date. After much debate, Logan decided to politely decline because, after all, they were just about to part ways from high school and start their college careers. Logan went off to UNCW in Wilmington, NC, and Alex off to NC State in Raleigh, NC. After the first semester of their Sophomore year of college, Logan had just been accepted into her study abroad program in Sevilla, Spain. She was set to leave after Christmas break, ready to spend the second semester abroad. Eager about studying abroad, Logan shared her excitement on her Snapchat story, where Alex responded to congratulate her and hear more about the study abroad preparation. After a few minutes of texting, Alex knew she would be headed back to Fuquay for Christmas break and asked Logan (again) if she would be interested in meeting for coffee/lunch to catch up. Logan thought back to the first time he asked her out back in senior year of high school, appreciated his persistence, and thought, "Why not?!" Even though they hadn't seen each other in several years, they met at the local Mexican restaurant in Fuquay. They chatted for several hours at the restaurant, and both quickly realized there was a definite spark there! They hung out every day after that, spending every moment they could together until Logan left for Spain. Alex officially asked Logan to be his girlfriend, and they promised to make the very long-distance thing work! They were both heartbroken about Logan leaving for Spain, but it's true what they say...distance really does make the heart grow fonder. Thank goodness for phones, Facetime and WhatsApp! Then Covid hit, and in a bittersweet twist, Logan returned home a few months earlier than planned from her study abroad. The first moments back, Alex stood on Logan's front porch with food, flowers, and an electric blanket, but still, they had to wait to see each other because Logan was sick with Covid. After Covid they picked up right where they left off, never tiring of spending time together. They supported each other through the last two years of college, watched each other graduate, and cheered each other on as they started their careers. Now they are ready to spend the rest of their lives together traveling the world, raising their extremely spoiled pup, Bruno, and sharing all the laughter and love in between.

For all the days along the way
