Hotel
A room block has been reserved at the Circle Hotel, which is close to downtown Fairfield and adjacent to the delicious Circle Diner (a Lloyd family favorite!). Also, it is less than a mile to walk to Jennings Beach through one of the cutest neighborhoods in town. Read more about visiting Fairfield's beaches in the "Things to Do" tab. Hotel
A room block has been reserved at the Hotel Hi-Ho, which is by far the closest hotel to the reception location! Fun fact: it's also just a few doors down from the house that Jeff grew up in! It's quite far from the beaches, so if you don't care too much about making it down there, we recommend the Hi-Ho for it's proximity to the reception. Bonus: it's closer to some great hiking spots if that's what you prefer! :) You can reserve a room at the Hi-Ho at the special rate of $159 plus tax per night. Hotel
The Inn at Fairfield Beach is literally steps from the beach! Read more about visiting Fairfield's beaches in the "Things to Do" tab. There won't be a room block at this hotel, but if staying at the beach is important to you, this is a great spot. Just be aware that in the summertime a 2-night stay required.
Flight
We are lucky enough to have lots of airport options nearby, though some are more convenient than others. The closest airport is Westchester (HPN), where you can rent a car or take an Uber/Lyft to the nearest train station and ride the train north to Fairfield or Fairfield Metro. It is often cheaper to fly into New York City, but less convenient. If you type in "NYC" as your destination airport, you'll see flights to Laguardia, JFK (which are both in Queens, NY), and Newark (in New Jersey). Each of these is a little over an hour from Fairfield. Uber/Lyft can be quite pricey from the city airports; if you'd rather make your way to Grand Central and catch Metro North, you would want to take the New Haven line and get off at Fairfield or Fairfield Metro. Another option is to fly to Hartford (BDL) which is about an hour and 20 minutes from Fairfield.
Travel Note
There will be no parking at the reception. Instead, please park at Fairfield Country Day School, where a shuttle will be waiting to take you down the street to the reception. These shuttles will also offer limited spaces to take guests from the ceremony to the reception, for those of you who will not be driving.
Travel Note
If you are driving in on Friday or Saturday from any of the airports, from the city, or from anywhere south, you may be affected by the lane closures on I-95 in Stamford. Traffic is predicted to be worse than usual (and it's usually pretty gnarly anyway) so just be aware of this! :)
