Lindsay and Christian met while pursuing masters degrees and working at a residential school for children with autism in Massachusetts (2016). The first one-on-one session ended up lasting four days, and they had their first born a month later (Bean, a cat). Following the completion of Lindsay's masters degree, she moved to Florida to pursue her PhD. Her hesitance to be in a temporary long distance relationship was stifled: "I will break up with you if you DON'T move to Florida" (Yensen, 2018). Christian became a Gainesville resident soon after (2019). Results of the long distance relationship suggested that long distance relationships aren't that bad. After a 9 month residency as boyfriend and girlfriend, their relationship status changed on January 30th, 2020.
