Let's Party!

Funny how life works out... We first met at Island Park Elementary School (fly, Eagles, fly!) on Mercer Island, WA in 1997. Lizzie had a big crush on Max in 5th grade but he was busy dating other ladies. He was a super nice, athletic, cute towhead after all! In 7th grade, at Islander Middle School (go Gators!), Lizzie wrote Max off when he didn't invite her to his Bar Mitzvah. That was the end of Max Moncaster for Lizzie...so she thought... Fast forward to 2015. Lizzie was living in Washington, D.C. and Max moved there that year from Canada. They re-connected through their mutual hometown friend Isaac Tobis (now Officiant Tobis!), who would bring Max around to Lizzie's house parties and happy hours. Max and Lizzie played on the same intramural sports teams in D.C. for years, but always seemed to be dating other people. That all changed in March 2020 when Max reached out asking to "catch-up." Lizzie didn't know if it was a date or not. Spoiler alert: it was. Two days later, a global pandemic hit forcing them to decide if they should be quarantine baes. Luckily they both had great foresight and here we are!
