Wedding Party

Aly Spartz

Maid of Honor

Aly and Liz met in law school when they both joined law review. In their 3L year, they became great friends because they were essentially together 24/7 while on law review executive board. They found that they had a lot in common and actually enjoyed hanging out outside of reading boring legal articles 😂. Since then, Aly has provided both Liz and Ross with countless great times and the couple is honored to have her as their Maid of Honor!

Karin Vaughn

Matron of Honor

Karin is Liz’s childhood best friend! The two have known each other for almost 24 years. They grew up on the same block as kids and even though Karin moved away they still stayed great friends! Liz and Ross could not celebrate their big day without her!

Becca Gabor

Bridesmaid

Liz met Becca when the two were on the Trojans cheerleading team together. They continued to cheer together in high school and through all the competitions and countless practices Becca always kept Liz laughing! She has been a great friend to Liz and always knows how to take Liz’s seriousness and make it into a joke 😊. Ross and Liz are honored to have someone with such a caring and light heart in their wedding party!

Paula Boehm

Bridesmaid

Liz met Paula when she was trying out for the high school cheer team. Liz knew from the start that her and Paula would be great friends as Paula had a genuine kindness about her. The two have been friends ever since and Liz and Ross cannot wait to celebrate with Paula!

Claire Szpara

Bridesmaid

Claire and Liz met in law school. The two became great friends when they both decided to make the move to Indianapolis after law school. Claire made Indianapolis feel much more like home for Liz! Claire even got the opportunity to join Liz and Ross’s second date when they all played and (of course) won trivia together. The couple cannot wait to celebrate with Claire!

Kyleigh Roberson

Bridesmaid

Kyleigh will be Liz’s sister-in-law. Liz has always been an only child, but she is willing to make an exception for such a kind and loving future sister! Liz and Ross are very excited to have Kyleigh be apart of their big day!

Scott Palmer

Best Man

Scott has been Ross's best friend since the 3rd grade. From playing N64 in Palmer's basement, to running Cross Country in high school, and political discussions at Drake's, they are always having fun. My favorite memory of Palmer is actually when I almost sunk our friendship by convincing him to play volleyball in 5th grade gym class instead of flag football. He proceeded to to do not so hot on his volleyball test after and he still probably has not forgiven me for that.

Cody Hodgins

Groomsman

Cody Hodgins and Ross have been friends since 2010, when they ran College Cross Country together at Charlotte. We have since shared many memories and miles together. Cody knows how to make you laugh and is always down for a good time. Although we live 9 hours apart, we still try to visit each other once a year. My favorite memory of Cody is when he once came to XC practice when it was cold out in only running pants. Since then, his nickname has been Bruce Lee.

Joe Cotto

Groomsman

Joe Cotto and Ross have been friends since 2010 also, running together on the Charlotte XC team. Cotto was a very quiet guy on the team but we became friends as we found out our running styles were similar. We spent many hours together on runs and he has always appreciated my singing while running. As business majors, we also had a few classes together and were able to study together. My favorite memory of Cotto was when we went on a 15 mile run together in the winter and he only wore a shirt and shorts. The temperature was 40 degrees, then proceeded to rain. I had to lend him my gloves and hat on the way back. That was the last time he checked the weather by just stepping onto his apartment balcony!

Chris Capps

Groomsman

Chris Capps and I became friends our freshman year of college as we were both running Cross Country. Ever since then, we have shared many memories running and nights out together. He has always been a good voice of reason and is very knowledgeable about running so feel free to ask him for any advice. He's also very competitive and does not like losing to anyone. We are very excited for him and Courtney on the birth of their first child. My favorite memory with Capps is traveling to Hoover, AL to watch Charlotte in the NCAA soccer championship, driving 5 hours each way. That was an awesome road trip.

Vikram Nevrekar

Groomsman

Vikram or vik, has been a friend since Mrs. Mcgrath's 3rd grade class. We became better friends once we started running track together in 7th grade. I personally thank Vik for telling the track coach that I was not a sprinter, as I had tried to go the sprinters practice on the 1st day. We ran track throughout high school together and then after college, decided to live together for a year. Although now Vik lives in Austin, they still frequently text and always enjoy going out to a Pacers game when he is home. My favorite memory of Vik is when he ate a couple of hot dogs before he ran a 4 x 400 and still put up a respectable time. I still don't know how he did it.

Ryan Roberson

Groomsman

Ryan, my older brother has always been a good influence in my life. We were like any brothers growing up, some fighting but mostly having fun together. Even though he now lives in Kansas City, Liz and I enjoy going to visit him, Kyleigh and Nathan. We always enjoy the valuable time we can spend together. I was glad to be a part of his wedding and I am glad he will be to be a part of mine. My favorite memory of Ryan is when he he came to one of my first college cross country meets at Virginia Tech even though it was a long drive away from Dayton. I will always appreciate that.
