John & Liz met their freshman year of high school when John's family relocated from Jersey. That year they shared an English class & Liz developed a massive crush on John due to his wit and humor, traits that still hold true today. As teen years are awkward (at best) John and Liz didn't end up dating for nearly a decade, however when they did, feelings developed rapidly & they were meeting each others families within a few weeks. During their courtship they were fortunate enough to be able to travel, attend musicals, sporting events, & according to Liz seemingly every worthwhile burger joint NYC has to offer. While living in the city was fun, they ultimately decided they wanted to establish their roots elsewhere. With this in mind, they took the plunge and moved across the country to the great state of Texas. It is here that they want their family and friends to witness and be a part of the love they share. The Proposal John skipped off to NYC to begin the process of designing a ring under the guise of being subpoenaed for court to close out old cases. While the ring was being made John began to devise his plan. John couldn't decide whether or not to propose in NY where their story began or in TX where their lives brought them. After much debate he decided on TX. John had the perfect plan of attending a country concert & reaching out to the production crew in an effort to get Liz on stage where he would propose. The only issue with this plan was that Liz happens to be super impatient & thus wanted to be married to John around around date 3. After asking Liz if she would want to see Brett Eldredge when he came to town she stated immediately “yes, and you can propose there!” Unbeknownst to Liz, that forced John to change his plan. Liz had mentioned visiting the Reunion Tower upon moving to TX so John took Liz to the top of the tower and proposed. Love was truly in the air. After 5 minutes of hysteria and John re-asking the ultimate question, Liz, said YES!
