Maid of Honor
Ellie and I met on my first hall in a college dorm at Liberty University. We bonded over a pumpkin that we adopted (and killed) together and since then we have been best friends! I have never had a friend like Ellie as we have been through thick and thin. She was my first roommate in our first apartment and she will be my last. Without her I would not have been bold enough to say yes to a first date with a stranger and we would not be here today! She is my right hand woman and I could not get married without her by my side.
Matron of Honor
Mikayla is one of my longest dearest friends. What started out as a older mentor turned into a friendship I value more than ever. She has kept me strong in dark places in my life with her life giving encouragement and guiding me in the word to strengthen my relationship with the Lord. Since I went to college and she got married we couldn't talk as much but did that hurt our friendship? No. I would not be the person I am today without her guidance.
Bridesmaid
I remember the first time I met Katelyn. My Dad had come home from Peru and he was carrying one more suitcase than he left with. Then Katelyn walked in behind him and my Dad exclaimed "She's staying with us now." She moved into the upstairs bedroom and from that day I had another sister. Katelyn is truly a second big sister to me. She has always been someone I have been able to confide in, jam in the car, cry with, and gossip with when it is truly juicy. She is one of the first persons I hug when I come home and her bubbly smile can lift anyone out of a funk. She is a truly special person and I can't wait to have her with me on this special day.
Bridesmaid
Grace and I have become fast friends since I started coming to Ohio to visit Tyler. Which is good because if the girlfriends don't like each other the best friends cannot be best friends. HAHA! When I come up we will often have girls dates and visit Buff City Soap because we are equally obsessed with gourmet soap. Without her I would never feel fully comfortable moving to Ohio after getting married but knowing I have a friend of my own has made this process so much easier.
Best Man
I met Joel during my first year at Word of Life Bible Institute. He came in late to the year during the spring semester. He was looking for people to connect with, and at the time I helped run a gaming club there at the campus. He was told to hit me up as I'm someone who likes to play games. He comes into my room one day, and asks to hang out. I insist that we hang out now because I need someone to play Mario Party with. So we bonded over Mario Party, and just started hanging out ever since. He's seriously been one of my greatest relationships. After WOLBI, we roomed together when we both transferred to Liberty University. I couldn't ask for a better friend.
Groomsman
I met Wil at WOLBI. He was a second year student on the same hall as me. One of my roommates was his best friend at the time, so that's how I got introduced to him. Turns out, we lived in the same state about thirty minutes from each other. During breaks when we would go back home, we'd carpool together, and then we just started hanging out all the time. After WOLBI, we still maintained a great friendship despite me going to school out of state. After we all graduated, I roomed with him at his house while I was establishing myself in my career, and we just became closer friends. I'm really proud to call this guy one of my best friends and now a neighbor.
Groomsman
Bailey was a guy that I met really inconspicuously at one of Wil's New Year's parties. I showed up having known Wil from WOLBI, and Bailey was one of Wil’s high school friends. I had apparently said something to Bailey that rubbed him the wrong way, because he told me that I came off as a big jerk the first time we interacted. Bailey was Wil's roommate while they were both attending the University of Toledo, and little did I know that from me hanging out with Wil that I would find a great friend in Bailey. I was really excited to find a close knit friend group for when I was home from Virginia. If it wasn't for Bailey I don't think I'd have as many friends as I have now.
Groomsman
I met TJ while I was still in high school going on a missions trip to the Philippines. I honestly can't place what made us click, but we both had talked about planning on going to WOLBI when we graduated high school. When that time came, we just so happened to be living in the same dorm. Out of familiarity we just started hanging out. When Joel came into the picture, it really became me, him, and TJ as an inseparable trio. I don't think I've quite met someone who can make me laugh at the dumbest things like TJ has. It was probably his sense of humor that drew me wanting to hang out with him in the first place, but getting to know him throughout the years has shown me what a solid guy he is.
