Lisbeth grew up going here with her family every weekend. Each Saturday they'd have a drink and listen to the live classical music on the 2nd floor veranda, and then throw pennies in the pool at the temple of dandur. Check those places out or explore the endless collection of wordly art. Let us know what you see!
James was a part of New Inc, the incubator attached to the New Museum. Check out the New Museum for cutting edge art and inspiration. Let us know what you see!
Lisbeth spent a summer in college traveling through Tibet researching her senior thesis. James spent time in Tibetan parts of Yunnan Province during his year in China. So head to this this tiny place for amazing Tibetan food at great prices to join us in exploring Tibetan cuisine!

One of our favorite Pizza places of all time! Everything at Speedy Romeo's is delicious. We particularly like the Kind Brother pizza. So good!
Such good pizza! And it's across the street from James' studio in the very hip neighborhood of Bushwick.
Classic place for some of the city's best jazz.
James and Lisbeth went here for one of their first dates. Get ready to chill out and experience a multi-sensory sound and light art experience that has been installed in this Tribeca loft for 24 years.
Jump on a City Bike and go for a gorgeous bike ride on the west side highway bike path. You can go for miles with no stoplights or intersections. Bring lunch and picnic in the grassy parks along the way.
It's free, it's always beautiful, and it's a boat! Take the ferry out to Staten Island for the best views of the Statue of Liberty and the aquatic side of NYC. Not interested in Staten Island? Come right back on the next ferry to Manhattan :)
Panna II and Milon are the two famous dueling restaurants of Little India in the East Village. Imagine 2 tiny indian restaurants, side by side, doors facing each other, both lit by thousands of colored lights, Each restaurant has a Maitre D in a rumpled tuxedo standing elbow-to-elbow, beckoning you, competing intensely and loudly to win your business. Which will it be? You can't go wrong with either. Both are cheap and pretty delicious. If you tell them it's your birthday they may crank up some crazy pop music, belt out the birthday song and bring you a scoop of icecream.
If you've never been here you must go now. Watch the Squid and the Whale, or Manhattan, and go find the iconic rooms featured.
On warm nights we like to bike out to Red Hook, watch the sun set behind the Statue of Liberty and then get a drink at Sunny's, an old timey nautical bar. Try it out for some brooklyn-style leisure time.
Really Really good, high end Chinese food in the heart of Williamsburg.
Great neighborhood bar in Williamsburg with a backyard!
One of our favorite neighborhood cafes. It's TINY but the Mediterranean food and baked goods are very very good.
