Welcome to our love story

Tanner and Lisbeth met one afternoon at the Yukon planet fitness. Tanner was working out with a mutual friend when they saw Lisbeth. She walked over to them and struck up a conversation, since she was there by herself they invited her to join their workout, so she did. Lisbeth talked to Tanner the rest of the workout and found out they went to the same school but she didn't believe him and took it upon herself to look him up in the school registry. She thought he was cute but sadly wouldn't run into him again until later in the year, and would make sure to get his number. Their first date was at the local I-hop at 4am right after project graduation, where they talked and laughed until the sun came up. Ten days later on May 30th, 2014 Tanner would make it official and asked Lisbeth to be his girlfriend in the parking lot of the town park after a night of stargazing.

Tanner proposed on a beautiful sunny Saturday in a tulip field. Lisbeth had no idea that Tanner was going to propose, but it was not unusual to plan a trip to pick tulips as they had made it a tradition to do so for the past five years. The day started off like normal and in true Lisbeth fashion was late to her own proposal, she just didn't know it. Tanner made sure to have a photographer there to document the moment he got down on one knee. After all the happy tears were shed, Tanner and Lisbeth enjoyed some snow cones on a picnic bench and soaked in the view of the tulip field. After the proposal Tanner and Lisbeth headed to meet up with family and friends for dinner and more pictures!

A trip booked and planned in November of last year to celebrate our nine year anniversary slowly evolved into our elopement trip. We wanted to go to a beautiful state that offered a variety of outdoor activities and food options, and Colorado did not disappoint. We booked a cozy mountain condo near St. Mary's glacier lake in Idaho Springs where we exchanged vows near the water's edge on the morning of May 30th. Nine years ago on that exact date is when Tanner asked me to be his girlfriend. We saw it was only fitting that we begin our new adventure as man and wife on the same date. After exchanging vows in the mountains we drove into town to file our marriage certificate in Clear Creek County. Once filed and stamped we celebrated outside with pictures. We then enjoyed a mini two hour road trip to our next destination, The Garden of the Gods. Here is where we laughed, hiked, and enjoyed a small rain shower all in our wedding attire. We ended the most perfect day enjoying each other's company marveling at the beauty of God's handy-work.
