In 1977, my father, grandparents, and his siblings of, 15, were sponsored by a big hearted and gracious couple (Sanchez’s) who gave them the opportunity to thrive in America. 🙏🏽 Father to four first generations in America. Also a survivor of stage IV lung cancer. My father is a man of a few words and expressions. Although he might not say much, his actions speaks for himself. His absences during long months at sea does not go unnoticed. His mid-years of hard work and sacrifices provided shelter, food in our bellies, clothes, and running water. My father is one of the hardest working persons I know. He is strong, stern, active, anchored, reserved, able, resourceful, helpful, and generous. Most importantly a survivor!

Cambodian decent. Survivor of the Pol Pot regime during 1975-79 in Cambodia. My mother, grandpa, and her siblings made it to America after their refugee camp hardship. My mother and her siblings have been thriving in Hawaii since the 1990’s, living simplistically with the aloha spirit mentality. Mother to four first generations in America. My mother is one of the most humblest human beings I know. She is so inviting, caring, kind, generous, selfless, outgoing, adaptive, adventurous, loving, and her perseverance is out of this world. My mother is truly my super hero! She is such an amazing cook! When you take a bite of her home cooked foods, its so rememberable that it will have you craving more!

Best Man

Johnathon "Jojo" Thomson is as close to having a brother as I will ever get. We met around the age of 5 and have been best friends for the last 25+ years. He is the only person in the world that can recall memories from my childhood that I may have forgotten. We've always had each others backs and that will never change. From countless nights of playing manhunt in my dads neighborhood to riding around for hours in my Plymouth Neon rapping every word of Lil Wayne songs and so many incredible memories in between, the good times have been endless. Watching him grow into the man he is today and seeing him with his beautiful family has been nothing less than inspiring to me. I look up to him in so many ways and couldnt imagine life without him.

Liridon "Lil" Gjeloshi has always been one of the funniest people I have ever known. Lil and I have come so close to literally dying from laughter on so many occasions its impossible to count. We met each other 10-12 years ago and what a ride its been. There are very few people that I know who I can have the most ridiculously outlandish and off the wall conversations with, and Lil is definitely one of them. Over the years we've shared so many fun and incredible experiences together. From taking 4 hours to watch a two hour movie (Heavyweights) due to how much we were dying of laughter, to going to countless music concerts to absolutely destroying him on Halo and NHL, we've been through it all. He is a kind, good hearted person and I am so happy for him and his new family.

Kim and I have been best friends since the eight grade. She is sweet, caring, independent, and a person of growth! She is a resilient woman! Although we hardly get to spend time with one another because of distance, we are always able to pick up where we left off. I cherish our friendship of 20+ years!

Phong "The Trumper" Nguyen is one of my best friends. Phong and I met about 10-12 years ago at a mutual friends house and since then we've shared some great experiences together. From playing rock band at 3am and waking up the sleeping monsters in the house, to clubbing every weekend in DTSP, to living together for a few years, Phong has never let me down. Phong is a genuinely good hearted person, and his loyalty to friendship is unrivaled, no matter how many times I've mopped the floor with him during our heated political discussions. Phong has been there and supported me through some of the darkest times in my life and I will be forever grateful for that. He is a wonderful father and family man, and I am genuinely honored to have him as a friend.

Adrian....Sosa....what can I say? What IS there to say? J/k, Adrian is one of my best friends in life and is literally the funniest person I know. Adrian and I met about 10-12 years ago at a mutual friends house and the laughs haven't stopped. We've experienced so much together. From wreaking havoc at Karepears house every weekend, to popping bottles at clubs and destroying Angies burgers after, to taking calculated risks together and then living with each other for a few years, Adrian has been a ride or die friend through it all. I am so happy to see the man hes turned into today, and is an amazing father and soon to be husband. Its a honor to have such a great person such as Adrian in my life.

Dustin Carro is a great friend of mine and is one of the true OG friends in my life. I met Dustin in middle school, so our friendship easily exceeds 20 years now. Dustin and I have been through the most insane experiences together. From aggressive skating the middle schools, to partying all through high school, to all the crazy things after high school, Dustin has been there through it all. I've had some of the closest calls ever with Dustin and those experiences just made our friendship that much tighter. Dustin recently completed his degree in electrical engineering and is now living in Colorado, working at one of the top companies in the country and I couldn't be more proud of how far he's come. He deserves all the success coming his was and I am honored to have him as a friend.

Ian Seafort is one of my closest friends. We met about 10 years ago and our adventures have been nothing short of amazing. From skimming and surfing our hometown beaches, to countless surf trips on the east coast of Florida, to skim/surf trips in Cali, Puerto Rico and North Carolina, we've been through it all and there is so much more to come. I can always count on Ian to stoke out on wave forecasts 10 days out which never come to fruiting, but I have to respect his efforts to hype the situation. I can also count on him to share the same stoke level as myself for food as we are both animals when it comes to trying new food places. Ian is a dear friend and a really kind, and good hearted person and I am honored to have him in my life.

Danyle is one of the most interesting humans I've ever known, and I couldn't imagine not having him in my life. We met in high school and the sh*t show hasn't stopped since. Danyle has really been there through it all. Through all the wild times in high school, to everything else which cannot be mentioned on this site. Over the last few years, we've grown a lot closer and our friendship has grown so much stronger. We have a mutual unspoken agreement to always be there for each other through the best and worst of times. Danyle is a genuinely good person and someone I would trust with anything. He is one of my best friends in this world and I look forward to all the futures memories we will share in the coming years.

Lemme tell you about my good friend Linda aka KK. Linda and I met during high school and we were in different class years, some how our friendship sparked and we have been friends since then. Even though she was a few years younger than me she always had such a boss mentality. She brought me into the world of ABG… loved it but we both know I’m too laid back to maintain a status! Haha We may have lost touch over the years but when reconnect it’s like we’re still kicking it. I’m grateful that we are able to have a special friendship and connect with our growth in faith. She has been through the worst of the lows and have the best in life when she’s winning. I know this girl and she is a survivor! She is independent, forward, strong willed, laidback, resilient, methodical, giving, nurturing, and sweet! (And sometimes Korean angry) hahaha jk love you.

Brad Balsama has been one of my dearest friends since elementary school. We first met at a summer camp we attended, and I don't think we started off on the best foot. I think that was due to the fact I was better than him at every sport, or was it because I always wiped the floor with him on the pool table...hmm something like that my memory is a little fuzzy. We linked back up in high school and although our crowds of friends were aligned a little different, he was a mutual friend of all my other neighborhood friends so Brad is, in fact, one of the true OG's in my life. We've gone through some crazy times together and I am so proud to see the man he has become today. He is the most insanely talented guitarist I know and a wonderful father and family man, and is truly a great friend.

Jeremy Kelly, where do I begin. Jeremy and I have been great friends since middle school, and we've shared some awesome experiences together. From skating for hours on end all over Largo and Central Skate park, to playing manhunt on the roofs of the middle school by our house, to that one fun time where we were locked out of his house after school and he suggested I try picking the dead bolt lock with a stick and when it broke off in the lock, he threw me right under the bus when his parents got home! Regardless of that, I've shared some of the best times of my life with Jeremy and I am so proud to see the man hes grown into today. Being a loving father and husband, and now owning his own business, I look up to Jeremy in so many ways and honored to call him my friend.
