Grant and I have been friends since the 3rd grade where our first "love" spark was lit. Yes, we were boyfriend and girlfriend back then as well! After this short romance ;) our friendship flourished and Grant truly became one of my very best friends. From homecoming weeks and formals to AP classes and ACT prep, we spent a lot of time together. College was no different as we both chose to attend The University of South Dakota. From here, our friendship grew richer with sorority/fraternity formals, game days, and study sessions; we truly were best friends. Senior year of college I (Alyssa) had quite the health scare when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Through those frightening few weeks of surgery and recovery, Grant was with me every step of the way. He called me with updates on the latest drama, and kept my spirits up as I was missing one of the best times of senior year. At this point we both realized how unpredictable life can be and realized that our friendship was more than any friendship and we were ready to take the scary leap to a relationship ... and, well, its safe to say that it was worth the risk <3
