We met half-way in New Glarus where Steve pretended to like good beer since Lindsey ordered an IPA. Later Steve tried to hide his vehicle, but Lindsey saw him at the stop light rocking his old beater from high school (lovingly named the 'Silver Bullet'). The relationship is still going strong, but the Bullet was finally retired in Fall of '22.

Never wanting to steal anyone's thunder, Steve waited until everyone else was married to propose. After finally bringing Nater's home in April 2022, Steve picked Mother's Day to pop the question. Nate helped Steve propose in his mother's day card - while reading, Lindsey turned to see Steve on one knee with a massive 2-carrot Ring Pop (seriously, two carrots stuck to the ring pop with peanut butter). She admired Steve's creativity, said yes and was grateful to pick out her own ring (because they never would have agreed).
