We met for the first time taking art classes at Sam Houston State University. We were in the same program and going for the same degree, which led to us eventually becoming close friends. After years of friendship and awkward flirting, Raph decided to take a chance and ask me out for Valentines day in 2015. Several dates later, we made our relationship official to all our friends and family. We have now been together for 3 years, and we are ready to spend the rest of our lives happily together!
Under the disguise of a fancy date to celebrate my departure to graduate school, Raph took me to the Reunion Tower in the center of Dallas. High above the city, we walked around the spherecial tower looking for the best view of the sunset. Raph reminded me how much I meant to him and that moving so far apart was going to be difficult. In one sudden move, he went down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. In shock I didn't answer, but instead, started to reach for the ring, thinking I had obviously said yes. He asked me again, and I finally remembered to speak and said, "yes!" We then celebrated with champagne on the viewing deck of the tower. The evening was topped off with an amazing meal and wine, as the restaurant continued to revolve to give us a full view of the entire Dallas skyline. We had an amazing time that evening and enjoy looking back to remember all the great food, amazing views, our overwhelming nerves and love we shared on top of the Reunion Tower.
