This is a must-see for people new to Greenville. Be sure to check out the spectacular 345-food curved suspension Liberty Bridge, which offers unobstructed views of the Reedy River waterfalls. Grant proposed to Lindsey on this bridge so they are particularly fond of it. This bridge (and the experience) are one-of-a-kind.
When we get the chance, we love to go hiking to see the beautiful water falls at Paris Mountain State Park. Greenville and its surrounding area is known to have great hiking trails as there are more than 50 waterfalls that reside within the Blue Ridge Escarpment (where the Blue Ridge Mountains drop abruptly 2,000 ft to the Piedmont below) thereby making it the heaviest concentration of waterfalls within the Eastern United States. So if you are feeling adventurous, we highly recommend that you check some out! We like Paris Mountain since it is one of the closer parks to visit but if you have the time we also like Table Rock, Jones Gap, and Caesars Head if you have the time and resources to drive there!
If you are into Rooftop Bars, this is one of favorites. It offers a large outdoor patio in the center of downtown Greenville. They are famous for their signature old fashioned's and serve delicious appetizers from their kitchen. We also enjoy going to UP on the Roof (located at the Embassy Suites downtown) and W XYZ Bar (located at Aloft Hotel), which are other popular rooftop bars we frequent from time to time.
We went here on one of our first dates, so Trappe Door holds a very special place in our hearts. Trappe Door is a Belgian-inspired restaurant that offers over 150 Belgian beers as well as Belgian-inspired food. We love their moules frites (mussels and fries) but you cannot go wrong with their Steak Frites. Located underground, it has a very cozy and warm atmosphere with exposed brick walls and wooden features throughout.
Greenville's take on the farmers market. Enjoy fresh, locally-sourced produce and farm products each Saturday morning on Main Street in downtown Greenville.
