I was out by the pool with a friend when a couple of guys showed up carrying a boombox and a makeshift cooler made out of a cardboard file-box with a trash bag inside. Little did I know the jersey wearing, file-box carrying man would be my future husband. George eventually came up and introduced himself and we realized we lived directly across the hall from one another. We enjoyed a fun day by the pool and continued to hang out. We grew closer over the Summer and have been together ever since. -Lindsey

Three years after I met Lindsey, I sent Mr. and Mrs. Harper a message asking if they could meet for dinner. Living across the country, they encouraged me to give them a call or speak over skype, but I insisted that I meet them in person in Washington. To everyone's surprise they said yes and I brought them in on my plan to propose to Lindsey. After three weeks of being out of town, the big day was upon us. Saturday night, we planned to eat at our favorite restaurant, Kyma, which is a typical date night for us. Little did Lindsey know, our family and friends from all over the country were waiting for us on the restaurant patio. I didn't feel nervous until we arrived, and I stepped outside to see everyone anxiously waiting. The next few minutes are a blurr, but I asked Lindsey to marry me and she said yes as she was in complete shock to see our family and friends including her parents who came all the way from Washington to be a part of the big day. We immediately celebrated with shots of ouzo and glasses of champagne, and continued the celebration with our family members in Greece. - George
