Welcome to Central Florida! If you're interested in visiting Disney or Universal, they're about an hour south of Sanford. If you're making a vacation of it, you might want to stay somewhere closer for your theme park days. 

If theme parks not your thing, there is plenty more to do:

Sanford Porchfest is a community music festival all around our wedding venue on our wedding day! Local bands play on porches around downtown Sanford. Parking can get a little crazy, but it's a great time to walk around and enjoy all kinds of music! https://www.sanfordporchfest.org/about

Nature-lovers can visit Wekiwa Springs State Park, Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive, or Harry P Leu Gardens.

If you're looking for a nice beach, Sanford is only 45 minutes from New Smyrna Beach on Florida's east coast.

Also on the east coast, Kennedy Space Center's Visitor Complex is a Florida must-do and a personal favorite of mine, at about an hour away from Sanford.
