Maid of Honor
I have known Lindsey since we were 4 years old, and no matter the distance, we continue to stay close friends. We have been through it all together, and continue to support each other through all of our life struggles and victories. Since college we have lived far away from each other, and now is no exception. Lindsey currently lives in London, but somehow we continue to keep in touch....I mean, we've made it through 28 years of friendship so a little distance has nothing on us :)
Bridesmaid
I met Annie through my soccer team in DC. The first time I met her was on the soccer field, and the second time was in Victoria's Secret in an awkward moment of "I think that girl is on my soccer team? Is that her? Yup it is, and she's with her boyfriend....and we are buying intimates....great." And that was that! We have been friends ever since! She lives in Shanghai! Luckily, we still continue to keep in constant contact!
Bridesmaid
I have known Emi for over ten years....at least! Although I don't see her often since she lived in Texas and now Minnesota, we always find a way to keep in contact. Whenever we do get the chance to spend time together, it seems like no time has passed at all. I am so glad she will be there to celebrate my wedding because she has really been a source of strength and comfort when I have needed it most. I am very excited to have her by my side for such an important occasion :)
Bridesmaid
I met Jill in college at Oklahoma State. We lived in the same building our freshman year (Bennett Hall, what what!) and then ended up in the same sorority. We were inseparable throughout our college years, although we did have our ups and downs ;) And I'm not entirely sure who was the instigator, but we definitely made sure to have fun! She is currently living in Austin, Texas and I am very excited that she will be standing up there with me on my special day!
Best Man
Vir and I met through the same way I met most of my friends in DC, dodgeball. One day during a tournament, Vir and I decided to blow off a few games to go to a bar and watch a Sixers/Bulls playoff game. During that afternoon, through multiple beers, much conversation, and the first of many Derrick Rose injuries, we discovered that we were very much alike. In a day that seemed like any other, I was fortunate to meet one of my best friends, and someone I'm honored to have standing beside me on my wedding day.
Groomsman
Matt is my older brother and he has fulfilled the role perfectly. When we were young he kicked my butt in sports. When we were a older he took me to my first concert (and gave me my first beer). And now that we are adults I get the to watch and learn from him while he acts as a great father to his son, and my nephew, Bennett. A few years ago Matt granted me the honor of being part of his wedding, and I am grateful that now I can return the favor.
Groomsman
As Andrew's older brother I have had the pleasure of watching him grow up and become the man he is today. As he's ventured from state to state, working his way up through his company and then on to a new job, I got to see Andrew transition from a young kid trying to figure out his path, to a mature adult who is highly depended upon. When we were young I felt like I needed to look out for him. As adults, I am confident that he fully capable of taking care of himself, and now I get the honor of him standing with me on my wedding day.
Groomsman
Zach is my little brother, and I am very excited that Chris has had the chance to meet him on more than one occasion, especially since we live so far away from Texas. I am thrilled he will be up there with Chris and I on our wedding day. Zach and I do not get to see each other often, but growing up we were very close. (Ahem, our game of Wolf ring any bells, Zach!?) I couldn't be more excited for my little brother to be a part of our special day!
