We knew very early that we had found our soulmate. So the decision to get married was an easy one, and Cole just had to find the right time to ask the question. I decided to plan a trip to The Biltmore House around the holidays, because neither one of us had ever seen the house decorated for Christmas. We both love the winter season, and planned the trip a couple months in advance. Cole had been in contact with my sister & best friend (Madison & Bailey) to pick out the perfect ring and plan the perfect surprise proposal. He decided to use our trip to The Biltmore as his opportunity to propose, and since I had planned the trip, he knew I wouldn’t suspect a thing. Through planning and group messages (shoutout to Marcus & Bear, the code names Cole had for Madison/Bailey), he managed to completely surprise me with the proposal. We walked to the overlook across from the house because I wanted pictures before sunset. I snapped a picture of the house, and turned around to see the love of my life on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand. I said yes, of course, and was surprised again when Madison & Bailey came out of hiding to celebrate the moment. My sweet childhood best friend, Bailey, is also an amazingly talented photographer. She took beautiful pictures of the proposal that I will cherish forever. I am forever thankful that Cole and I found each other, and we can’t wait to become husband & wife. I am equally blessed with such a loving and supportive sister & best friend, who went out of their way to make sure our engagement was a beautiful memory we will remember forever.
