If you are looking to get on the water, the sports center has paddle boards, kayaks, boats and jetskis for rental. We are working to get a discount code and a few group events with the facility.
A staple for any tourist, the San Diego Zoo is located in the heart of Balboa Park. It is possible to spend anywhere from a couple hours to an entire day at the zoo, and we encourage you to check out the museums and walking trails in Balboa Park afterwards.
A historic island just across the bay from downtown San Diego. Explore the historic Hotel Del Coronado which is one of the last remaining wooden beach resorts in the world and is the second largest such structure in the United States. Walk some of the highest rated beaches in the country, bike the silver strand path, and window shop the many boutique stores. A great stop if you are interested in seeing some San Diego history with a view.
From Little Italy to the waterfront of Seaport Village, to Petco Park, and the Gaslamp quarter, it's easy to see why San Diego is referred to as "America's Finest City".
A staple of Mission Beach, Belmont Park is an ideal playground on the oceanfront with a historic wooden rollercoaster, arcade, and countless bars and restaurants. Worth noting that Belmont park is walkable from the wedding venue.
Located 15 minutes north, La Jolla boasts some of the best views in San Diego. With a drive up, it is a guarantee to see and hang around some of the local seals and sea lions that famously call La Jolla cove home. After, we recommend a coffee or cocktail at the Cove House, or catch the sunset and have dinner at one of the many fine dining restaurants.
About an hour drive into the mountains, Temecula is home to Southern California's wine country. There are hundreds of wineries to choose from, but we are partial to Akash Winery as we are members here. While you are in Temecula, have dinner in the historic Old Town.
Located in La Jolla, here you can find paved walking and running paths, along with some more challenging trails, with breathtaking views of the ocean the entire way. We highly recommend a morning walk or evening sunset stroll through the state park which also has plenty of parking.
Just kidding. But seriously, it's only a 30 minute drive...
