Taxi/Uber at the Airport

It is approx. $10 taxi or Uber ride from the airport to the hotel area. Uber is available in Colombia. Please see our FAQ page for more info. If you are staying in Cartagena's Old City, it is a 10-minute drive from the airport. If you are staying in Bocagrande (Hyatt, Intercontinental, Hampton Inn), it is a 15-minute drive. Once you walk out of the airport, you will see the taxi line. There's a window where you will tell them where you're going and they will hand you a ticket, which you will give to the driver. If you use a taxi, be sure to agree on the fare with your driver before leaving the airport. A taxi to the Old City will cost you less than 20,000 Colombian pesos (approximately $5-7 USD). You can also pre-arrange with your hotel to be picked up directly from the airport.

Bastión Luxury Hotel

We have a discounted group rate at Bastion. Bastion is a 2 minute walk to the Santa Clara and we stayed here in August when we were in Cartagena. Beautiful hotel and great service. It's a smaller boutique hotel, so it does fill up quickly.
