The Farvers

Blake first heard about Lillie back in 2020 from a few mutual friends who wanted to set them up. Initially, Blake saw Lillie for the very first time walking in to church and thought "this is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, I must get to know her." It wasn't until 2021 that they had their first official introduction. Blake and Lillie ran in very similar circles and got to know each other here and there but it was never good "timing". In 2022, another mutual friend planned a casual hang out at Katy Trail Ice House and little did they know it was a set up. After talking all night and learning more about each other, Blake walked Lillie to her car and asked her out. She said yes, kinda. The next few months they went on dates and eventually became official. However, Lillie decided the timing wasn't good for them and broke it off. It was Blake's first and only heartbreak. Blake then went on to what he likes to call his ~revenge tour~ where he started running half marathons, grew his hair out, and bought a truck!! The Lord's timing is funny though because Lillie ran into Blake at a happy hour almost 7 months later. At this point, they had barely seen each other and when they did, they did their best to avoid and literally run the other way. They were cordial at the happy hour that ended up turning in to some of the most redeeming conversations that revealed that the door was never fully closed for either of them. The next night they headed to Red River (a country dance hall) with a group where Blake and Lillie danced all night and to both Lillie and Blake's surprise, Lillie wanted him all to herself. It was from then on that Lillie and Blake decided they wanted to take things slow and "figure it out". This "figuring out" turned into dating and quickly falling in love with each other. The "I love you" began and by February, they knew this was the end goal. The Lord was kind and gracious to both of them in many ways over the last 2 years of their relationship. He has healed, redeemed, and brought the best out of one another. The best is yet to come and they cannot wait to become one in just a few short months!!!
