Newport's main street downtown - filled with restaurants, bars, and boutiques.
One of the most beautiful views in Newport. Grab a drink on the lawn overlooking the water and famous Newport Bridge, or stay for dinner and enjoy the sunset. Be sure to take the long away around Ocean Drive on your way in for some stellar coastal views.
Also known as "First Beach," this is one of the largest of Newport's beaches and the closest to downtown (20-minute walk or a 10-minute bike) if you want to spend the day getting a tan and hopping in the ocean.
What Newport is known for! Take a tour of the stunning Bellevue Avenue mansions to see what life was like in a Gilded Age summer.
Newport's famous cliff walk trail goes along the coast of the Island and has absolutely stunning views. Parts of the trail include climbing and steep rocks - definitely wear sneakers! We recommend starting at the in-town entrance (by the Chanler Hotel) and ending at Free Beach. From the beach end, you can take the Trolley back into town.
Grab tickets to one of Newport's renowned Harbor Cruises! Our favorite is the Sunset Cruise on the Rum Runner II.
