We met at Keiser University during our ENG 1 class 5 years ago. We became friends, exchanged numbers, social media, and would help with each other’s homework from time to time. When the class was done, we didn’t really see each other or hang out after that, but we kept in contact through social media. At one point, we didn’t even speak, we both had different numbers and all it was were a few Instagram likes. December 2015, almost 3 years later, Yuen messaged me on Snapchat about one of the parties that we were having at my parents house and I invited him over but at the time he was at a family gathering. However we made plans to meet up the following day and hangout which was Jan 1, 2016. After that we literally hung out everyday until he decided to asked me to be his girlfriend January 18, 2016. We have been together 2 years now, have a beautiful baby girl, and he is a great father figure to my older daughters.

When I was 7 months pregnant with Leia, we decided to go on a trip to Chicago with my sister Stephanie, her boyfriend Eddie, and my brothers Steven and Jonathan. I had no idea he had planned out his proposal. May 19, 2017 we walked to Millenium park towards “The Bean” and while I thought I was being photographed, Yuen grabbed my hand and got down on one knee. I was so confused. For a second, I thought he was playing so I had to peek in the box (don’t judge me). I was filled with emotions as my tears came down, he said “You know that I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me?” and of course I said “YES”. And just like that we were engaged.

We are very excited and can’t wait for this magical day. We look forward to seeing everyone be part of such an important day in our life.
