Flight Booking: We would love for you to get the full experience of the wedding as well as enjoy some of the beautiful places to visit in South India! Therefore it is recommended that you book your flight departure from the United States to India on June 24, 2024 which will arrive on June 26, 2024. We kindly ask that all sightseeing arrangements be made after the wedding on June 29. 2024 to minimize travel conflicts. Resort Booking: The wedding couple has reserved the 4-Star Fragrant Nature Resort for $70 per night (including all taxes & fees) for June 26, 2024 - June 29, 2024 and checking out June 30, 2024 by 11:00 am. If you plan to extend your stay please contact the resort.

Although each region of India has its own specific customs, the general concept is similar – it’ll be a beautiful Indian Wedding, filled with vibrant colors, music, and plenty of food and dancing. Although family members and close friends may have a role, the remainder of the guests are invited to sit back and enjoy.

Haldi ceremony is when members of the couple take turns applying a paste of turmeric, sandalwood, natural oils, and rose water to remove any negativity & to fill the couple with positivity. Turmeric is known to add a glow, purify the soul, and to symbolize blessings. Traditionally, guests wear yellow representing a life of prosperity for the couple to begin their new life together. This event will be outdoors, please expect heat & humidity & plan to dress accordingly!
A Mehendi is a pre-wedding celebration in Hindu culture for female guests ONLY that occurs after the Haldi ceremony. Mehendi (Henna) is applied to the hands and feet of the bride (optional for female guests) a day prior to the wedding symbolizing good health & prosperity.
The wedding is Indian attire optional. If you are planning on wearing indian attire please look for Kurta pyjama (men) and Lehenga, Anarkali, or Kurta pyjama (Women). However, feel free to wear colorful attire of your choice (Kindly avoid wearing black as it is not customary in Indian tradition).
