Please note that a heat wave is currently forecast for the East Coast. The church is not air conditioned. We will have air conditioning for the parish hall (reception).

Question

Will there be programs to guide me through the mass and ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We have printed enough programs for every guest. You can also view the program online at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WS5DOfotN0qm7qKF8ygWzrKRLOBI2wxT/view?usp=sharing . (You'll have to copy and paste that — Zola doesn't let us make links.)

Question

What should I do in between the mass and the reception?

Answer

There are a lot of options within a few blocks of the church. Here are a few ideas: grab some iced coffee from Green Line or Milk Crate; get a gin and tonic at Dahlak or Gojjo; get a snack at Fu-Wah or Spruce Hill Provisions; or poke around at Jinxed or Bindlestiff Books. Clark Park is right there, too. The world is your oyster. (By “the world,” we mean West Philadelphia.)

Question

Are there rules about what I am allowed to wear inside a Catholic church?

Answer

No. It is a church, so use your best judgment about what is appropriate for that, but there are no formal rules about what is or isn’t allowed. (The Swiss guard isn’t going to throw you out.)
