On Saturday we were texting and Bernell asked Libby what she was doing today. Her response was to try not to go to Mclendons Hardware store, specifically the garden section. Bernell responded that he’s never been to a Mclendons before. Libby quickly responded and asked if he wanted to grab a coffee and go there. That’s right, Libby’s idea for a first date was a coffee and a hardware store. Bernell was already on the his way to the base so he suggested glass of wine later that afternoon. That 1 glass wine led to dinner to a walk in the Seattle drizzle, a first kiss at Top golf and a few laps in Target once the rain picked up. Don’t worry, a future date was to Mclendons.
