8:00 pm
Dress like you’re meeting someone’s parents for the first time because you most likely will be.
This is a very very very optional Shabbat dinner that Sarah's mom is hosting at the Shul’s community center. It will be mostly Sarah's very large extended family and Daniel’s family (Sarah thinks/hopes). There will be a buffet and mostly meat options but also some vegetarian ones. Copenhagen is filled with some of the best restaurants in the world so if you can get a reservation at one of those, please knock yourselves out and skip this. But if you’re looking for a free meal, come to this!
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
No dress code - come as you are
We're hosting welcome cocktails and snacks the day before our wedding. THIS IS 100000% OPTIONAL. Just a fun pre-dinner party at the former Noma location.
3:00 pm
The ceremony will take place at the Grand Synagogue of Copenhagen. Witness as Sarah trips over her wedding dress while walking down the aisle of the 198 year old shul! Take bets on how many times Daniel has to stomp on the glass to signify their union. After we stumble our way through phonetic Hebrew, it'll be time to party at our wedding reception!
5:30 pm - 11:45 pm
Dress Code: Dress Festive and Fabulous! You know that outfit in your closet that you're like "when on earth will I ever get to wear this piece of art that people call a dress/suit?" THIS IS YOUR CHANCE! Also, this will be a mainly outdoor reception and there's cobblestones, so don't wear heels or at least bring a change of shoes!
We're likely going to ask you to walk for 5 minutes from the ceremony to the canal where a boat will be waiting to give you a ride to the reception. The walk is through cobble stone streets and you will pass a Ferragamo store, a Chanel store, a Louis Vuitton store... it's tres chic but don't get distracted and miss the boat. If you do, just take a cab to the reception venue. The food at the reception will feature amazing dishes from some of Copenhagen’s most loved restaurants. It will focus on mainly vegan and vegetarian cuisine (many gluten-free options!) and fish, but please let us know if you have any other dietary issues!
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Dress code: festive and theatrical. fun. Serve some LOOKS.
This is Daniel's restaurant in LA, so it's our home away from home, and we're so excited to have you over for a night of dancing, eating, and revelry. It's also the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, so Alta's back patio is the perfect sukkah!
