Steve and Rebecca met in passing in 2016. Rebecca was working at Customer Service and Steve worked in Grocery. While Rebecca was working one day, she needed help from a grocery associate. She picked up the schedule and asked her coworker, "Who the hell is Steven Otero?"

Two years of flirting back and forth and Steve giving Rebecca SO many mixed signals, Rebecca finally made the first move and asked Steve to hang out after work. These hang outs turned into them taking breaks together. But both Rebecca and Steve were too scared to say they liked each other so Rebecca asked a coworker to ask Steve if he liked her. After Steve said yes, he decided to ask her out for ice cream at Applegate's Farm and take her on a walk through Brookdale Park.

For their three year anniversary, Rebecca and Steve took a week long trip to Virginia Beach. On the day of their anniversary, Steve planned to take Rebecca to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. While they were strolling through the wildflower garden, Rebecca had her back turned to Steve while she stared at the flowers. Steve called her name and as Rebecca turned around, she saw Steve on one knee with the most beautiful ring she could ever ask for. Thankfully, she said yes as she is the only one that could ever deal with Steve's craziness for the rest of her life.
