We both swiped right and struck up a conversation online that led to an epic first date. We met under the marquee at the Grand Lake Theater and walked to the Morcom Rose garden to watch people and the urban turkeys. We saw some down and out guy wearing a white sweatsuit and hoodie, he had a black eye and looked like El Duce - we took his sighting as a good omen. We proceeded to Sean's new apartment and listened to a Stooges album and decided to get steaks and jalapeño poppers at Quinn's Lighthouse. Life has been like that ever since; we enjoy each other's company, and just keep asking each other to do things together. We never saw the man in the white sweatsuit again (undoubtedly another good omen), and have been listening to music, eating at dining establishments far and wide, going on trips, and walking around together ever since.
Sean proposed on bended knee at the Morcom Rose Garden - the site of our first date. He spoke sweet and beautiful words and I said yes! Come to the Piedmont Community Hall on 4.14.24 to watch us exchange vows and celebrate our union, and the friends and family that make us smile!
