WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Kyle and Amanda began their relationship in typical millennial fashion- on Tinder. It was love at first swipe ;) They had their first date at Char Bar (barbecue in Kansas city, of course) where they spent 5 hours discussing every topic that it supposed to be avoided on a first date: past relationships, money, politics and religion. After that first date and Amanda introducing Kyle to her dog, Luke, the rest was history. Shortly after becoming official, Kyle moved to Florida for his 3rd year of medical school and the journey of a long distance relationship began. Although difficult, Amanda didn't mind having an excuse to go to the beach every month! Kyle has lived in 8 different states since they began dating in 2016 until he landed in his psychiatry residency in Des Moines, IA. Upon completion of her graduate school a year later, Amanda moved to Des Moines and they tackled their next journey together: home ownership and taking care of 3 rowdy dogs.

Amanda and Kyle had a trip planned to Montana with their best friends, Katie and Tyler for October 2021. Amanda had suspected Kyle may propose there and had gotten fully prepared with her hair done, makeup done and got new clothes... The night before the trip, Kyle offered to go grab her dinner while she packed. 2 hours later (turns out Kyle had gone to his friend Josh's house for a pep talk!) he came home with food to a very *hangry* Amanda. Kyle offered to "serve" the food to her and she was not having it...she just wanted to eat! Kyle handed Amanda the burger with the ring on top of the bun and looked over and Kyle was down on one knee asking her to marry him! During this process of excitement, shock and nerves, their very ornery dog, Vito, ate the burger out of Amanda's hands. It was the perfect depiction of their lives together with 3 dogs!
