Choosing to downscale to a tiny wedding was never a decision we thought we would have to make. New Orleans became an epicenter of the pandemic that hasn't reopened or lessened restrictions as quickly as other parts of the country. Since the day we became engaged we've talked about how much fun we were going to have dancing and drinking with all of our loved ones. We couldn't believe we'd get to have all the most precious people to us in the same room! What a gift! But 2020 had other plans and with the Covid-19 pandemic constantly changing the way we live our lives and gather together and the safety of travel we felt it was best and safest for all to just grab our closest fam and tie the knot in our town! We want so much to be married & appreciate the understanding of our family and friends in this unprecedented & majorly difficult time. As healthcare workers, we just don't want to risk anyone falling ill due to our wedding- it simply isn't worth it to us to put your health at risk.
That is the plan! But with the ever changing ordinances and closures that come along with a pandemic we just don't know when that will be. Many of our friends have changed their dates to 2021 and we want to give them their moments to shine and bask in wedded bliss before we make any decisions and start shopping for sparkly disco outfits online. And who knows? Maybe we'll just throw a bangin' house warming party or baby shower in a couple of years! There are so many upcoming life events worth celebrating and we are ready to pop bottles with you when it's fully safe to do so.
We appreciate this question so much! We would love to see you on Zoom/Youtube for the big day- you're sure to have a front row seat! We'll be working to make sure the audio/visual is up to snuff for you. In the meantime, our registry is still here for you to help us begin our lives together as husband and wife! And as always, we love cards and well wishes. Give us your best marriage advice! Tell us why you love us! And know how much we love you too. YES! We are still having our wonderful photographers and videographer join us to capture the day. You'll have more photos than you'll know what to do with coming your way as soon as we get them back!
