Kira and Jason met through mutual friends while both looking for housing in San Francisco. At the time, they were living 5 minutes away from each other in Los Gatos, and were taking the same train up to San Francisco for work. They met for the first time at Zeki's bar in San Francisco with friends & family who are all a part of their wedding party. Everyone hit it off. Kira & Jason started taking the train together up to the city, the first time they met to ride Kira says to Jason, "Oh you must not have to dress up for work". He appreciated her honesty. But they really hit it off when they were talking about moving Kira's couch up to the city, which was this hideous pink paisley couch passed down from her family that they named 'Mr. Paisley' and Jason had Kira in tears laughing about it. They ended up moving into a 4-bedroom apartment with two other roommates in October 2014 and started dating two months later. Their official start of dating was when they went to the Christmas Tree Lot Party, a "red carpet" holiday event where Jason kissed Kira for the first time. A year later, they moved into their own spot in the city where they lived for the next four years and shared many memories together. During this time, Jason taught Kira everything she knew about working out, and Kira taught Jason how to enjoy dessert and let loose a little more. They were lucky enough to travel internationally every year together, traveling became their favorite thing to do together (after working out of course). Once COVID hit, they left SF in 2020 and after a quick 6 months in Campbell, Jason and Kira decided to try the SoCal life. They ventured down to San Diego in February 2021, a place that is so perfect for them. Jason and Kira bought a condo in Carlsbad in 2022 and got their first pet together, Alfie the tuxedo cat. Jason proposed to Kira on her favorite beach, Solana, after 7 years of dating on October 29, 2022.
