We're Getting Married!

We caught each other’s attention at my sister’s little league softball game the summer before my freshman and his junior year of high school. Because of this, his little cousin, who was on the same team as my sister, came up to me and began asking me questions like what school I went to, how old I was, and if I had a boyfriend. Although at the time I did not think anything of the questions she was asking, I would later find out that Lee was the one who sent her to gather the information. Later that evening, he followed me on Instagram, and we instantly connected as we talked all night long like we had known each other for years.

Early on in the evening, we went out to what ended up seeming like an unusual dinner. He seemed nervous but excited for a reason I did not know, he also didn't finish his food which almost never happens. On the way back to his house, things seemed even more out of the ordinary as he was trying to go along with his plan, which included blindfolding me, while also trying keeping me in the dark. After he blindfolded me, he helped me off the truck and held my hand, guiding me to the beautiful scenery set up by our families in his backyard. He guided me through an aisle of rose petals and into a heart made up of the same rose petals where he then took my blindfold off and got down on one knee. After I said yes, our families, who were secretly hiding from me, burst out in celebration for us. Surrounded by our family, this truly was an unforgettable day to be followed by an even more exciting night that we cannot wait to share with you all.
