It all started with Sara meeting Jalin in beauty school back in 2013 where they became the bestfriends and attached at the hip. During a FaceTime call with Jalin after she had moved back to Kansas, Sara got her first glimpse of the cousin, Chris. This brief introduction had an impact on them both and Chris developed an immediate crush. When Chris came to visit family in Las Vegas, Sara made sure to be at the house every time Chris was there, but they couldn’t get past being shy with each other. It was when Sara traveled to Kansas for Chris’ brother’s high school graduation in June 2017 that sparks really began to fly. They were crazy about each other and looked for every opportunity to talk or see each other after that! That next week when Chris went to California for a video game tournament, Sara made the trip just to spend hours of being together. On June 23, 2017, while he was in Vegas that Chris asked Sara to be his girlfriend, and by Aug. 1, we made the trip from Kansas to Vegas to be together. Crazy in love ever since! Chris didn’t know how he would propose but just knew that it would happen when the moment was right. One of Chris and Sara’s favorite dining spots when they first began dating was Kona Grill, so while out on Friday, October 9th, he decided to pop the big question. The ring box was too big to fit in his pocket so he had to leave it in the car during dinner. After walking back to the car, Chris opened the door for Sara, kissed her, and told her how much he loved her. Then randomly, he asked her to get him a napkin from the glove box. Sara did a quick glance and didn’t see a napkin so closed it, missing the ring completely! Chris had to improvise and go in for the napkin himself, pulling out the ring box. Sara freaked out saying OMG, it’s happening! Chris began with “Sara Christine, I can’t imagine my life without you …” followed by a bunch of mushy stuff and asked her to marry him. She enthusiastically said yes and the rest is history!
