We clicked "yes" to each other in the magical online land of OkCupid! It was Kyle's bushy beard and adorable kitty that made Leah slow down and say yes! Kyle made the first move and waited patiently for a response from his dream girl. 67% match and 3% enemy led to weeks of talking, corny jokes, and skype cooking lessons. Then we were on to the first date! We met at Minnehaha Park for a picnic. Leah forgot her watermelon picnic basket, but Kyle came with a days work of preparation.... homemade custard rhubarb pie, slow cooked chili, Diet Cokes, etc. It was in that moment we knew we were the perfect balance to each other. Inseparable from that moment.
Kyle was dropping ALL the hints. Leah headed home from work early on January 13th to a spiffed up Kyle.... who made her wait outside in the cold. A few (long) minutes later, Kyle opened the door. Our home was transformed into a candlelit stroll down memory lane...birthday trips in Lutsen, first "I love you's", and holiday food fights. Kyle got down on one knee in the middle of our living room, and asked Leah to marry him! Kyle had the ring for 6 (short) hours before proposing on the luckiest Friday the 13th EVER!
We are so excited to share the first day of the rest of our lives with all of our closest friends and family.
