Conner and Leah met in algebra class in fall of 2013. They were placed next to each other due to their last names (the one and only time they appreciated alphabetical order in school). No matter how much their teacher tried, they couldn’t stop talking to each other. On November 12th, 2013, thanks to an upcoming school dance, they started what would turn into a lifelong relationship. Special thanks to Mrs. Richard for making the worst (best?) seating chart decision of her career, and to the Shepherd Hill Homecoming Dance for giving Conner and Leah the courage to get together.
On April 8th, Conner surprised Leah with a long weekend in the Catskills of New York. The next day, he brought her to Albany to explore the attractions of the city. They had a fun day of exploring a retired naval ship and an art museum as well as enjoying a cider brewery and some bowling. At the end of the day, they went to a fancy restaurant for dinner. As dessert was arriving, Conner got down on one knee and asked Leah to marry him. She said yes! Now, they’re thrilled to be getting ready for marriage and are excited to see their friends and family at the wedding.
