We love walking around Chautauqua Park and all the hikes that go up from the base area! (Pictured above!) Chautauqua is a gorgeous park to enjoy a nice picnic, a scenic walk, or a lengthier, but no less beautiful, hike if you're looking to really test your cardio health at altitude. We recommend the Royal Arch or the Flatirons 1 and 2 hikes for some of the best panoramic views of Boulder and the Front Range. Check out the AllTrails app (https://www.alltrails.com/) to see difficulty levels and estimated lengths before embarking on a hike, and make sure to bring water!
Walk down Pearl Street Mall and enjoy all of the cute shops and restaurants! Pearl Street is a great spot to explore, and also features many of the other recommended locations below. Stop in and grab a souvenir at any of the shops down the 4 blocks of the mall, check out some of the rooftop bars in the area for scenic views, and watch some of Boulder's famous sidewalk buskers perform for their Pearl Street audiences.
Andrew spent far too much time here for Thursday night "bar review", often accompanied by Leah! Visit for the best burgers and wings in town and play a game of iSpy with the most eclectic decor you'll probably ever see. Pro tip: The mens' restroom is on the left, the womens' is on the right. Don't let them trick you.
Great Italian fare, and some of the best dessert selections that you'll find here (we LOVE the tiramisu and cheesecake). We recommend the chicken or eggplant parm, any of their homemade noodle dishes, and the jumbo shells, oven-baked in their homemade marinara sauce!
Amazing German food, great German beer, best potato salad (in Andrew's opinion) in the country. Leah's favorite drink is the Honey Bite: part beer, part cider, and a little honey on top! Stop in for a dinner, get a giant pretzel and a schnitzel sandwich or a sausage plate, and order an uber home because you won't want to be walking.
